Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 September 2026
We believe privacy information should be understandable. This policy describes what we collect, why we use it, and the choices available to you.
1. Scope of this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Cryptoindex.ai (“Cryptoindex.ai”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you visit cryptoindex.ai, use our crypto index explorer, submit a contact or advertising request, subscribe to the Cryptoindex Weekly newsletter, or otherwise interact with the website.
This policy applies only to services operated by Cryptoindex.ai. Our pages may link to exchanges, index providers, publishers, analytics platforms, and other third-party websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide directly may include your name, email address, company, inquiry type, subject, message, advertising request, and newsletter subscription status. If you contact us, we also retain the date of the request and its administrative status so that we can reply and manage the conversation.
When you subscribe to the newsletter, we store your email address, subscription date, active or unsubscribed status, and a randomly generated unsubscribe token. We do not ask for payment card information through the newsletter or contact forms.
Technical information may include IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, approximate location derived from an IP address, timestamps, language and theme preferences, and diagnostic or security logs. This data may be collected automatically by our hosting infrastructure and analytics tools.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
Cryptoindex.ai may use essential cookies or local browser storage to remember language and theme preferences and to maintain authenticated administrator sessions. These technologies are necessary to provide requested functionality and protect restricted areas of the website.
We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and website performance. Google Analytics may set cookies or process device and usage identifiers. Where required by law, analytics should operate only after the appropriate consent. You can restrict cookies through your browser settings or use Google’s available opt-out tools.
4. How we use information
We use information to operate and secure the website; display and improve index data, charts, and content; respond to contact, partnership, press, and advertising requests; administer subscriptions; deliver requested newsletters; investigate errors or abuse; measure aggregate audience activity; and comply with legal obligations.
We may send service messages connected to an action you took, such as acknowledging a contact request, confirming a newsletter subscription, or providing an unsubscribe link. Marketing newsletters are sent only to addresses submitted for that purpose. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link included in each message.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use contact-form content to build advertising profiles, and we do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects through automated profiling.
5. Legal bases for processing
Depending on your location, we rely on one or more lawful bases: your consent, performance of a service you requested, our legitimate interests in operating and securing an informational website, and compliance with applicable law. Our legitimate interests include responding to inquiries, preventing spam, measuring reliability, and improving the service without overriding your rights.
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
6. How information is shared
We share information only when reasonably necessary with service providers that help us run the website. These may include hosting and infrastructure providers, email and newsletter delivery providers, Google Analytics, Telegram for internal inquiry notifications, and security or operational vendors. They process data under their own terms and applicable data-protection duties.
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or a valid governmental request; to protect users, the website, or third parties from fraud, security threats, or unlawful activity; or as part of a merger, sale, financing, or transfer of the website, subject to appropriate safeguards.
Crypto index values and market data are obtained from public or third-party sources. Viewing an index does not require us to disclose your identity to those data providers, although your browser may contact third-party resources when you follow an external link.
7. International transfers and retention
Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where applicable, we use or rely on recognized transfer mechanisms and provider safeguards. Internet services cannot guarantee that all processing remains within a single jurisdiction.
We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here. Contact requests may be retained while a business conversation remains relevant and for a reasonable record-keeping period afterward. Active newsletter addresses are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Security logs are generally retained for shorter operational periods unless needed to investigate an incident or satisfy legal requirements.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical controls intended to protect information, including restricted administrative access, encrypted HTTPS transport, secret-based authentication, and limited access to stored messages and subscriber records. No website, transmission, or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Do not send private keys, seed phrases, exchange passwords, identity documents, or sensitive financial information through our forms. Cryptoindex.ai will never ask for a wallet recovery phrase.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to request access to personal information, correct inaccurate information, request deletion, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, receive certain data in a portable format, and complain to a data-protection authority.
To exercise a right, contact us with enough information to identify the relevant message or subscription. We may request reasonable verification before acting. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and may retain limited information where necessary to document compliance, prevent fraud, or meet legal duties.
10. Children, changes, and contact
Cryptoindex.ai is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child submitted personal information, please contact us so it can be reviewed and removed.
We may update this Privacy Policy as the website, providers, or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date identifies the latest revision. Material changes may also be highlighted on the website.
